About the Ab Nicholas Foundation

Albert Nicholas established The Ab Nicholas Foundation Company, Inc. In 2012, he founded the charity with a $50 million endowment. The foundation’s goal of assisting college students in affording their education was continued after Nicholas’ passing.

Nicholas was such a great basketball player that the University of Wisconsin-Madison awarded him an athletic scholarship. He obtained his economics bachelor’s degree there, followed by an MBA in finance and investments.

Albert Nicholas was adamant that his UW degree had helped him both on and off the court. Nicholas established the Ab Foundation in order to give student athletes in Wisconsin the same chance.
