Benefits of the Elf Cosmetics Scholarship
Five thousand dollars ($5,000) in prizes will be awarded to up to five (5) contest winners. Once the contest Prize Recipient has enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education and provided Administrator with documentation of enrollment, the contest Prize will be awarded in the form of an ACH payment made payable directly to that institution.
After being notified that they have won, the contest prize recipient has 10 days to provide proof of enrolment. Except at the sole discretion of the Administrator, the Contest Prize may not be assigned, transferred, or otherwise modified. There won’t be a prize with a cash value. Any contest Prize will only be awarded if all contest requirements have been met and the Administrator has verified the applicant and their entry.
Applicants consent to being bound by the terms of the official rules and acknowledge that in the event that any contest Prize Recipient is found to have broken the terms of the official rules or is otherwise ineligible, the contest Prize will be forfeited, and the Applicant who submitted the Application with the next-highest score will take their place as an alternate.

Eligibility
- At the time of application, candidates must be at least eighteen (18) years old and legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia.
- Must enroll in or be currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a 2- or 4-year college or university, online program, or vocational school.
- No one who is currently employed by Sponsor, Administrator, or any of its affiliated firms, or who is a member of their immediate family (defined as their spouse, parents, siblings, or children), or who resides at the same address, is eligible to win. Where banned, void.
How to Apply
To enter, fill out and submit the online application at https://www.myscholarship.app/self-made. Per person, only one (1) application is accepted.
Name, contact information, biographical information, academic information, and a brief, original, never-before-published written response to the prompt “Empowering others is one of e.l.f.’s purpose pillars as a brand” are all required in the application. How would this scholarship enable you to empower not only yourself but also those around you? (“Application”). Your written response must be 250 words or less, written in English, and adhere to proper spelling and grammar.
Once your initial Application has been submitted, no further drafts or revised pages will be accepted in its place. Obscene, pornographic, libelous, or otherwise unacceptable written or video submissions will be disqualified. All Applications become the Administrator’s property and cannot be returned.
The Administrator disclaims all liability for late, lost, incorrectly directed, or unclear Applications. You unreservedly acknowledge and agree to these Official Rules and the Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding, by submitting an application.
Selection Method
The applicant must be qualified, follow instructions, and produce well-written Applications that concisely and imaginatively handle the above-described topic. Five (5) potential winners will be chosen by a trained team of judges based on the following standards: writing skill (25%), creativity (25%), originality (25%), and overall excellence (25%). In the event of a tie, the applicant with the higher total excellence score will be the likely victor.
The potential winner will be notified by email and will then need to complete further paperwork as detailed below. Any possible winner notification that is misplaced, intercepted, or not received by the prospective winner for any reason shall not be the responsibility of the Administrator.
If, in its sole opinion, the Administrator does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Applications, the Administrator maintains the right to select a No Contest Prize Recipient. Without further payment or notification to the winner, portions of the Prize-Winning Application may be displayed on the Administrator’s website or utilized in other marketing materials.
