The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship has no restrictions for class rank, minimum grade point average, or financial need.

The following students are eligible for the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship:
- Legal citizens of the United States.
- Residents of Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, or any one of those states.
- Seniors in high school in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, or South Dakota.
- Preparing to enroll at a qualified institution in the fall immediately after the registration dates, either physically or online.
Eligibility for ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship
- Must be currently enrolled in high school.
- Award eligible institutions include two-year colleges.
- Award is available to four-year colleges of any type.
- Americans are eligible for the award.
Selection of Recipients
The Sponsor will choose a total of ten (10) Recipients at random from among all qualifying entries received. Seven (7) substitute recipients will also be chosen in case any of the recipients are found to be ineligible before the funds are transferred to the qualified institutions each recipient has specified. The sequence in which the alternates were chosen in the initial random drawing shall be followed if an alternate must be chosen to replace a recipient who has been found to be ineligible.
All decisions made by the Sponsor regarding this ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship are final and cannot be contested or appealed. Each student may only receive one scholarship grant during the program period. Within fifteen (15) days of the date of the random drawing, each Recipient will be contacted through email or, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, any other means of communication. Each recipient will receive an email confirmation after their eligibility has been confirmed.
The number of eligible entries received from Applicants in the Qualifying States will determine the likelihood of winning.
How to Apply for the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship
For purposes of the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship, a person will be regarded as a “Applicant” if they:
- Are qualified,
- Go to ISL’s website at www.IowaStudentLoan.org/scholarships/isl-midwest-senior-scholarship.aspx. (the “Website”) where the official rules for the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship are posted, and
- Before the conclusion of the program period, fully fill out and submit the necessary Registration Information (described below).
Essential Documents
Each applicant must provide the entire set of the following information, known as the “Registration Information,” in order to be considered for the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship.
The entire Registration Information for Students consists of:
- That they were a senior in high school during the relevant academic year at a high school in a Qualifying State,
- Their last name and first name,
- Their postal address,
- A contact phone number,
- The person’s email address,
- Their birthdate.
- The name of the high school they attend and its location (city and state);
- The year they graduated from high school,
- The first and last name of a parent or legal guardian, and
- The email address of a parent or legal guardian.
The registration information for parents or legal guardians of students includes everything listed below:
- The proof that the Student will be a senior in high school during the 2022–2023 academic year at a high school in a Qualifying State,
- Their last name and first name,
- Their postal address,
- A contact phone number,
- The person’s email address,
- The student’s birthdate;
- The name of the high school the student attends and its location (city and state);
- The Student’s senior year of high school,
- First and last names of the student, and
- The email address of the student.
Each Applicant is also required to mark the box on the registration form indicating their agreement to be bound by these Official Rules. It is optional for the applicant to disclose how they discovered about the ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship. Even if the applicant deselected the opt-in box during registration, by finishing and submitting the registration before the end of the program period, each applicant will get frequent email messages from the sponsor with advice for achieving success in college.
